Mcafee Site advisor & Norton Safe web valid proof of your web site.[simple html]

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I use that for my site and i like to share with the community here.

This is a free valid proof of your web site from McAfee & Norton antivirus systems about virus,spam emails and bla,bla,bla..(etc.) and with this way you can show to your members that you are a secure site and can feel safe surfing to you

The only think you have to do is to upload the images to your forum and edit one template.

INTALATION: (time for install:1 min)

1. Download the zip file.Unzip and upload the images to your server.

2.Open footer template and find:
Code:

<br />
<div class="smallfont" align="center">$vbphrase[all_times_are_gmt_x_time_now_is_y]</div>

Adove please add:
Code:

<div align="center">
<a href="http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=$vboptions[bburl]" target="_blank"><img src="your_server_path/norton.gif" border="0" alt="Yoursite.com tested by Norton Internet Security" title="Yoursite.com tested by Norton Internet Security"></a>
<a href="http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/$vboptions[bburl]" target="_blank"><img src="your_server_path/mcafee.gif" border="0" alt="Yoursite.com tested by McAfee Internet Security" title="Yoursite.com tested by McAfee Internet Security"></a>
</div>

Replace the words:
1. yoursite.com with your domain name
2. your_server_path with the path you have uploaded the images

Click save and finish.

Thank you simonhind & RTMdotORG for your ideas!

Don't forget to click install.

Thanks...
one thing...
instead of <center></center> wrapped around it...
Do <div align="center"></div> wrapped around it...

I would suggest you create templateedits.xml file to do this in the footer

however this would require users to have
Template Modification System

i can do this for you if i am included in developement contribution
PM Me if you are interested

i thinl this is an interesting mod, but i have a suggestion so that users dont need to add there domain, i've already done it for my own site for my footer

using template modification system, you can change a simple piece of html code from a user typing

domain.com to $vboptions[bburl]

chnage your code to

Code:

<center>
<a href="http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=$vboptions[bburl]" target="_blank"><img src="images/10ynzi9.gif" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bburl] tested by McAfee Security" title="$vboptions[bburl] tested by McAfee Security"></a>
<a href="http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/$vboptions[bburl]" target="_blank"><img src="images/2e2fip2.gif" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bburl] tested by McAfee Security" title="$vboptions[bburl] tested by McAfee Security"></a>
</center>

i have the template.xml file ready for template Modification System if you havent already done so

So has the website been tested by Norton and Mcaffe? What kind of test is done exactly? Because if these tests aren't physically or automatically ran every so often, I would feel that i am lying to my surfers. That would be unethical. :(
