vB stats vs Google Analytics - stat discrepancies
 

My board is new and I've noticed a huge discrepancy between the vB stats (views) and google analytics, which basically says that everyone who comes to the site bounces off the home page.

Which is right?

Probably Google. Its a much more comprehensive tool for monitoring the performance of your site. If you take a look deeply into the Google results you'll probably find they do correspond reasonably closely to the VB Stats. Take the time to really understand those analytics reports since they are invaluable for gaining insight into your site's visitors.

One thing could be that Google analytics is only going to get views from those letting javascript run. While that might be most users it might not be all, and probably not any spiders. Can you run awstats or anything on your server's logs? That would tell the real story and then could see how analytics and vbstats compare.
