Cool - thanks! Degrades nicely in IE6 also (ABBR tags don't work in IE6, but it shows the text without the mouseover still)

As far as I'm aware, IE6 isn't even supported by microsoft anymore, is it?

Yes I have tested under IE6. As I said - the mouseover part does not work but the text still displays. EG - if your code is [abbr=Goodbye]Hello[/abbr], it will just show the text "Hello" under IE6 with no mouseover "tooltip" which is what I meant by saying it degrades nicely.

Some BBCodes which don't support older browsers display junk/tags, this tag doesn't. ie. IS GOOD

I've set up the example as-is and it works in the "Test your BB Code" box.

Does not work in a forum message, though.

What might I be missing?

I just created the BBCode as per the instructions on my vB 3.8.9 dev site, and it works in posts for me. I would be glad to come to your site and look things over if you want to PM me the credentials for a temporary admin account. :)
