Introduce Yourself Mod
 

Hi, is there any mod for vB 3.8.x that will ask users to introduce themselves in the forum before using it ! My forum is open so they can see whats inside but if they want more access they need to register but i also want to ask them by PM or by a pop-up window to present themselves to the comunity before doing anything else...not forcing them , just asking them

notifications in AdminCP, set reg user view forum and threads only, then setup custom permissions for reg for creating a thread in intro board only, then promote after 1 post has been made to another usergroup.

Gamer he doesn't want to force them - just ask them.

Can't you set up a private message to new users? You could easily just do that.

A PM to new users would be great...but can this be set to happen automatically when a new user is registered without any mod ?
Hint please as i dont see a way to do this...or if you know a mod that does this its great

Sending a member a welcome private message comes default with vbulletin.
To enable/edit yours, log into your admincp/vbulletin options/User Registration Options.

EDIT: I found that setting but when i press the [PM Title] or [PM Body] buttons i get an error:
The Send Welcome Email is working and only the Welcome Private Message links dont work!

This mod makes a very nice notice bar in the header (looks great on my theme) which can be clicked and it takes you wherever you set it too ...i set mine to take the new user that will click it to the presentation forum

This bar is following you around the forum so its not annoying but still present
