How to hide a forum category's contents\section from the forum index
 
Hi, i have been searching and can't find a solution how to hide the sections\sub-sections from people viewing the forum index.

For example I have an MMA forum and have a News category that i want members to be aware of but have it so they can't view the sections, sub-sections & recent threads without actually clicking on the category from the index.

This would allow them to be protected from possible spoilers from recent events etc.

If someone can please give me some advice it would be much appreciated
