Nulled vBulletin

i always wonder being such a big company how come jelsoft is not stopping piracy?
i'm sure there is some kind of way to stop hacker/scripter/programmer from nulling the vBulletin software cuz no matter what version

if you search vBulletin 3.x.x or whatever on google, 3rd or 4th link would be nulled
why aren't jelsoft doing something about it??:(

i'm pretty sure jelsoft can double their sales every time if piracy is stopped completely

Maybe Jelsoft is in loop with the pirates?
Every nulled script installed gets a 2-month try-before-you-by - the nuller gets credit for the install and then BAMN! Said pirate has to purchase the software or site gets shutdown? The nuller is credited 20% for the new sale, as if a regular old fashion affiliate. Could be an interesting gimmick...

And also - sales would not necessarily double based on nulled vBulletin use - are you kidding? If people had the money to purchase the software in the first place they would. A majority percentage of those who have been caught using nulled software - will not then go right to the purchase button on vBulletin.com - What a dream....

Anyway - vBulletin uses Pirate Reports to enforce their copyright! :)

^ i don't agree with you on that
Some people always look for ways to get something free instead of paying for it....

And believe me i know few sites who are using nulled software's for years!
I even sent e-mail to authorities but no response......
Do you really think jelsoft pay nuller's lol what a joke!
Matter of fact nuller's are using nulled vBulletin to share Nulled scripts huh

i mean c'mon lets get real!
What would you do if you want something real bad and the only way to get it is PAY FOR IT.
Lets take Paid Modifications for example, don't you think people spend 2-3 hours searching for certain modification before they actually create a thread in Paid requests?
There is no Free Lunch but if there is one, everyone waits in line to get it!

In today's society, everyone feels they are entitled to everything, free of charge.

Wow - What ever happened to having a sense of humor?

Anyway - OBVIOUSLY I was joking in part. But I have been part of the warez scene so I KNOW! I have facts to back up my post. Of course there are low-lifes (like me haha) who will always want free stuff. Don't we all? Yes. But the majority of those in the vB warez scene that I've had personal interaction with are those who simply cannot afford the software. They want a top-of-the-line product for their online community and can't afford the $180 vB owned license. I know this because 1. I once used a nulled vBulletin before I became a license holder and 2. I have been part of the warez scene and have experience with people who have used nulled versions of different software.

So I can back up my statement through that experience. You perhaps do not have the same experience. Of course - there are different schools of thought on the entire p2p share scenario - no need to argue, as piracy is illegal. End of story.

But to answer the original question again, vBulletin uses Pirate Reports as a means to enforce their copyright. Question has been asked and answered numerous times - in fact - It's been asked and answered so many times (with people being concerned about affairs other than their own and wanting to report an ex-friend or whatever...) I believe this thread will be closed as soon as a Mod/Admin happens by it...

There is no way to prevent scripts from being "nulled." PHP code is plain text, and can be modified by anyone. There is also no way to compile the source code in a way that cannot be trivially reverse engineered.
