Up dating to the latest version of vB
When up grading to the latest version of vB 3.8.4 from 3.8.2 how will this effect all the mods i have installed from here and also the styles and the template changes I did with many of the mods I installed?
 |
It probably won't be effected much at all. You can read the modification threads and see if users have complained about the mod being broken when they upgraded. Also, you can see a list of template changes for those versions over on vb.com and then see if you have modified those templates and make sure to upgrade them.
The best thing to do is do the upgrade on your test site and check this stuff out there before doing the upgrade on your live site. |
Thanks Lynne, it is a long list of php's though.
Is it really important to up grade from version 3.8.2 to 3.8.4? ( i haven't come across any problems as of yet on my version) I see there are some security patches for 3.8.1 and 3.8.3 but not for my version 3.8.2 Any reason why? |
