Virus in attachment

Hello,

This could be a false alarm but when trying to download a theme from vbulletin.org my antivirus prescans the file and is advising me that the attachment is infected with a virus.

Here is the data:

Virus: HTML:Iframe-inf (14x) (Engine B)
Virus found while downloading Web content.
Address: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=219299

Can anyone else confirm this or is my antivirus giving off false alarms?

False alarm.... your virus protection is being triggered with the xml file.

I wouldn't be so sure.. I tested it and also got a virus threat report from that zip (HTML/Framer).

We have verified that this modification was infected and it has been removed.

Thank you for confirming this and good to see quick removal of infected file. I'll keep the report button in mind for future reference.

and to the coder that uploaded that file??? Was his intent to cause harm?

HATEWILL! 08-18-2009 02:49 AM

that person should be banned if they purposely uploaded a virus for members to download

No one will probably ever know, unless the author comes out and says something. :)
