How to put up a simple html page that describes the forum
in more detail and with features that you can't put in the FAQ.
This is for a friend who has a forum. For my own forum, it was easy, even though I'm 3 points below a complete idiot so far as web pages. I anticipated this and named my forum address www.xxxxxxxxx.org/forums. Because my index.php file is in the /forums folder, I just put up an index.html file in the root, and it works fine. My simple html front-end is located at www.1anglico.org. But for my friend, I suspect that his index.php file is located in the same place in his cPanel where my index.html file is located (in my cPanel). Have I explained this? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you in advance, and have a great weekend! |
He can rename his index.php page to something like forums.php and then change this in vboptions > forum home page > script name for forum home page.

Thank you very much, Lynne. I'll forward your suggestions.
