Display Options/Threads gone to archive?

My freinds forum at the moment shows recent threads and all the rest go to the archive?
we have changed the setting in display option to show Last post time > Decending > Beginning.

Why cant we have all the thread ever created in a section stay there instead of begin hidden?

You need to set this in the Forum Manager > select forum to Edit > Default View Age
