Brings back memories. Anyone else miss the bright colors we used to have around here?

HMBeaty 08-08-2009 10:25 PM

Wow, yeah. I do miss that one :( Brings back memories of when I first got my license :)

I vaguely remember that skin (I didn't really hang out around here a lot until about two years ago). It is kinda nice, although I do like the blue in this one also.

Ah, the first vB.org skin (that I know of) that started the plethora of, "Where can I download this skin?" threads..

I think the first one was a horrible green and yellow one  http://web.archive.org/web/200101110...rums/index.php from January 2000.

and running Version 1.1.3

Code:

Powered by: vBulletin Version 1.1.3

and Version 2 http://web.archive.org/web/200102050...vbulletin.org/ in 2001

and 2.2.1 in 2002 http://web.archive.org/web/200204012...vbulletin.org/ A bit futuristic ;)

2.2.8 in 2003 http://web.archive.org/web/200302110...vbulletin.org/

Not sureof the version on this one, but its 2005 and same as the OP http://web.archive.org/web/200501260...rum/portal.php

Then we have the currant skin which came out in 2007 :) http://web.archive.org/web/200702011...rum/portal.php

mabersoft 08-09-2009 09:45 AM

Why could they not use this skin http://web.archive.org/web/200501260...rum/portal.php

so much better

This was a nice skin, this is how (visually) I remember the org to be. Back in it's prime, Like a sexy hooker showing off her legs to all the community and fluttering her eyelids. Nowadays she's looking like an aging hag with a hunch on her back carry a cat and pushing her trolley collecting tin cans.

Never liked that skin. Always set my profile to one of the alternatives. Stylish Green I think it was.

I think I started visiting vBorg at the 2.2.1 days. I remember those hideous green ones though, so I don't know. I guess people have probably asked "Where can I get this skin?" since the beginning though, eh? I know that the skin from the OP had threads about it ALL the time though.

Maybe that's why we are graced with the current style(s). No need for people to ask where do they get this style as they have it as default.

Yeah, I remember the green styles. They were retna killers. :erm: Maybe blue lagoon is't so terrible afterall. :D
