XHTML Validation...
As per this post: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=241
I'd love to see this modification pass XHTML validation. It's been a year since the above referenced post, so...I feel it only necessary to get this out of the way. It's an important feature to most of us, while others may care less. I have my arcade page down to 5 errors. Trust me...there were loads more. However, it was left to the end user to take this upon themselves to fix. Don't get me wrong...I'll be more than happy to try and fix the errors, myself, but one can only go so far. It should be mandatory for all submitted mods to pass validation before even being submitted to the end user as a completed mod. On the same note...I could sure use some assistance getting my arcade pages to validate...so, if this mod is being supported, could you please give me a hand...before I rip what's left of my hair out of my head? Thanks, in advance... BTW...I posted here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=5023) some time ago...but it was never really resolved. |
This is the Support forum for the arcade, correct? It's been four days and over 70 views.
Do you think the developer could, at least, address this issue?...or maybe even reply to it? I did donate, ya know... |
This modification breaks my page layout. Please make it validate.

Heh...
I hear where you're coming from...man. I just did myself a favor and removed the mod. I just chalk it up to experience. Nowadays...developers could care less if their mods validate. From now on...make sure you ask the question, first, before installing anyone's mod. Better safe than sorry. So, I'm out a few bucks for removing the mod's branding... Heh...it won't happen again. BTW...support sucks for this mod! |
It's pretty much just one guy supporting the arcade at this point, and he just had a baby. I don't think we'll be seeing him as often as we used to, and even then, this is the most heavily used mod on vB.org, so even then his time was limited.
My guess, is we'll hear more from MrZeropage when vB4 is out, as I suspect is the case with most major mod authors. |
