Pucture and albums

I would like to give the option to my users to have a personal photo album.
Is tha possible, is there a mod or hack for this please ?

thnaks

It is default vbulletin. They are called Albums. Turn them on in vboptions > user profile options > enabled user profile features and then set permissions in the usergroup manager and there are other global options to set in vboptions > user profile: album options

I'm not sure what you mean. Unless you moved the album pictures to the file system, then they should be stored in the database.

Hi Lynne

No its not that i mean...

Look my web site was hacked ,and i have found out that when my users or me were trying to open their album the page of the hacker was shown up. So i have disbale it.

I believe that there was the hole how they came in .

So now iam looking for the directory , where accually this feature is written in the forum directory via my ftp access.

Is this clear now ?

Because iam sure that in there i will find some of the hakkers files.

Actually, it really isn't any clearer to me. If they are getting redirected when they go to the albums page, perhaps you should check the templates for that page. Have you reuploaded all the default php files from vb.com? And are you using a totally default style to make sure things are working OK?

If I have this option enabled in the 'user profile options' menu listed above, will I still be able to override this in the 'Usergroup Manager'? Just wondering because right now I have Administrators set to have Albums but none of the Administrators is able to see the 'Pictures and Albums' link in the User CP. Is there another setting that enables this or the global setting?

I hope that question came out clear enough...

If you have it enabled in User Profile Options, you also need to set up permissions per usergroup. I don't remember what default is, but you need to go through each usergroup and turn things on and off.

Great. Thanks. I have some usergroups set up to have Albums but the option didn't appear for anybody until I set it in the User Profile Options. I do hope the usergroups permissions overrides this so everyone does get Albums.

Also, I have the link to Alubums and Pictures listed under the Community pulldown menu. Is this where it is supposed to appear? I thought it would be under UserCp or on the Control Panel page.

It appears under the Community dropdown. Of course, you can add it wherever you want manually.
