Email all usergroup members when a new post\thread
 

Hello -

I want ALL new posts and threads to be emailed to specific people and am currently adding each email manually under the forum 'moderation' section.

Is there a way to have the system automatically email all usergroup members when a post is added to the forum that the usergroup has access to? Or some other work around?

No there is no option for this in default vBulletin. Please be aware that each user already has the choice to subscribe to forums and "forcing" them to accept these update emails an be considered spam if you do this without their consent.

My application for vbulletin may be a little different than standard. I am using this for our posting for our customer and internal employee base so spam isn't an issue. I set up all of the forums, users and user groups manually and there isn't any registration allowed.

Do you think there may be a way to use special programming for this to work or some kind of hack?

I ended up having this work completed by Hayk Dr, who completed it immediately and it works great.

I am currently having another project completed by Hayk Dr. and the response is immediate. I haven't installed the second product yet but through the online demo site, testing has worked out well so far.

I would recommend Hayk Dr. to others needing custom programming.
