limit number of connections per ip allowed
 

hello, i am here to request a modification to be made for a certain reason

the reason is: one of my so called "friends" keeps sending mass amount of logins to my forums in order to totally crash them. this means i have to keep contacting my forums host to get them to reboot my vps.

and i know exactly why he is crashing my forums.

the reason for this is revenge.

he wants to get revenge on me because i kept ipbanning him because he keylogged my friend and released all of his details on my forums.

so now i want to stop my "friend" from making these attacks on my forum

so i am wondering if anyone could make a modification which limits the number of allowed connections per ip, (well, number of allowed logins per ip before completely blocking out their ip from attempting to login ever again.) i want this modification to work in such ways to ipban the attacker so he cannot crash my forums anymore.

either that or a firewall which only allows 2 successful logins to be made from 1 ip address.

because i cannot let that idiot get away with crashing my forums anymore...

he thinks he is a professional hacker, but he isn't because he downloads all of his "pro hacking" tools from the internet.

so yeah, either of those 2 mods please.

because this is getting out of hand.

and the vB Firewall is not good enough to block these attacks from happening because he is doing it by sending mass login connections.

so can someone please help me with this

You might want to use one of these modifcations:
- Multiple login detection
- Misserable users.
