Require post to view threads
 

Hello,
I have a 'Photo Booth' forum which is for my members to post pictures of themselves etc. However, my members have suggested (and I agree) that in order to view the content of the threads in this forum, they must first post a picture of themselves in the forum.

So I basically need a modification that allows you to post a thread, then when the thread is posted it gives you access to the threads & content.

I know this could be done with a usergroup promotion, however I am hoping a plug-in/modification exists to do this already.

i am not aware of such a plugin whcih already exists. I was going to suggest using the usergroup promotions mechanism, as it really would be the best weay to handle it.

As suggested, usergroup promotions are the best way to do this kind of thing currently. It also "shields" you from future upgrades of vBulletin, as the feature is pretty much guaranteed to work.
