3-4 bumps in "own" thread....?

I need to be able to limit people to 3-4 posts on there OWN threads in a forum. Pretty much I am trying to allow them to only "bump" there trade threads 3-4 times a day. Which ever number I decide to choose. But still allow them to reply to other threads created by other members. Is this at all possible? If not do you guys know of another mod that can do this? At the same time I would like to be able to limit them to 2 threads per forum I choose.

This sounds like the throttle posts hack so far. But I am not sure that I can limit people to only 3-4 posts in there "own" threads. There own, being the key words. I know I can limit them to 3-4 posts in a forum. But I need them to be able to reply to other threads in that forum as often as they want. It's just there own threads I need to limit.

Thanks for the time. I do greatly appreciate help that some one can provide here.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You can try Prevent Doubleposting hack.

I am not sure if that is what you're looking for, but it helps tremendously, because it merges their bumps to the original post, which isn't counted as new post.

Have you looked into modifying the code in the throttle posts mod to do what you want?

No, I am not a coder. Is there anyone that could get the throttle posts mod to do this for me? I would be more than happy to donate some money if you cant get it to do this.

You can make a request in this forum - Requests For Paid Services

I would first like to find out for sure if this is possible with this mod the way it is. It is never really clear whether it can be done in this way or not. But not really mentioned either. So it may be possible.

If you want to find out if it works as is, install it on your test site and take it for a test drive. That's the best way to find out.
