Possibilities of improving the search function?
 
Hey, we are still using vBulletin 3.6 but plan to upgrade soon.

Are there ways to improve the search functions or are they different in higher versions anyway?

Is there a possibility to search and afterwards narrow down within the search results? Maybe with plugins?

The first real change to the search will be in vB4.

Okay, so when considering whether to update to 3.8 or to version 4, can you let me know what will change about the search functions?
