Dynamic link using search facility

I have pulled RSS feeds from my main site into My forums and I would like to add a 'discuss in forums' button under the original article on the main site (outside vbulletin).

I think that the easist way to do this would be using VB inbuilt search facility, using the RSS title (which I generate) as the search term.

My question is can I generate a hyperlink that dynamically genrates the search result and aim this at the vbsearch page to get the desired thread (i.e ?search=sometitle) or is there a specific parameters that I should use in a post element?

Has anyone done something similar
