word censor exemption for super moderator team and admins?
 
I have done a search for a module or option that allows super moderators and administrators to be exempt from the word censor system. I may have missed a simple feature in the native system too...

I have a website censored with {www.thissite.com} but moderators who need to report from it find that they can't publish the links in the mod forums. Can you get around this with something already made?

You could write a plugin to either exempt a forum from censorship or the usergroup. I know I posted the plugin code before, just do a search on "censor*" in these forums - probably "titles only" and you should find it.

I can't seem to get these plugins to work on a 3.8.3; but will look into it further around the idea of switching censorship off for group == supermods.

Your plugins don't work at all? You may want to put in a support ticket about that.


This is one I wrote for someone who wanted to disable the censor in one forum (4). Just modify for your own purposes and maybe (not sure) pick a different hook location.

hook location - fetch foruminfo:

Hi Lynne, I am not completely igorant of troubleshooting the plugin system and although I havn't spent much time working on it - I find that on a clean vB (my dev board) with only two forums the one specified in the censorship code still gets censored.

I will definitely try your suggestion at the fetch foruminfo hook point.
It's certainly a very simple switch to invoke!

I'm sure I have just got something wrong wth the plugin code given that I am hacking it into 3.8.3 and last mention of it working was 3.5 and 3.7...

incidently this is the one I have tried at global_start
