Visitors message before login
 

Hello could anybody help me on this . when you get a new visitor and on the main page the you will get a message till they log in. It is the welcome message. But I would like to edit this and change some information. I have been checking in the language section but I still cannot fine it. Would anybody know where I can edit this thanks

You can go to the phrase manager and find it. It's in the "Global" category (Phrase type) and it's called "first_visit_message". Or you can copy some of the exact text and search in the phrases.

You can also remove that message completely and use a notice instead. You'd go to the forumhome template and remove the <!-- guest welcome message --> section (including the <if> tags around it). Then you'd set up a new notice in the notices manger.
