hxxp://forum/showthread.php?p=10#post10 is the URL when clicking a thread from "LAST POST" section from the forum's main page. This is different from accessing the same thread by browsing threads or just visiting the URL by hxxp://forum/showthread.php?t=10.

which template would I need to mess around with to edit the "LAST POST" section showthread.php?p=10#post10?

I just realized that even if it's same thread...the numbers are different?

I think.

t=x means thread id x. p=y means postid y. Postid y can be in any thread, not just threadid y (in fact, it may not be in threadid y).

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.
