I no longer support my hacks. Please feel free to update them and release new versions elsewhere as long as I get the credit for the original modification.

Interested in trying this out. Could definitely help with the back links in my social marketing efforts.
My only concern is the original URL getting indexed so I end up with dupe content on 2 different URLs? |
thank you i will test

Okay, I like this, and wanted to give this a shot.
Edited the .htaccess since my forums are in a subdirectory of my main site though the main site is just vbadvanced. But I can't for the life of me figure it out how to get this to work. Maybe I'm incorrectly reading what this does? Say I have a sub-forum on my site dedicated to reviews. In the admincp, at keywords, I'd put the following? Keyword: reviews Target URL: http://www.mysite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=49 So if I'm reading correctly, I should just go to: http://www.mysite.com/reviews or http://www.mysite.com/forums/reviews Neither work though, so maybe I'm misreading what this does, or I screwed up somewhere? |
The keyword should be prefixed with go/ e.g.
http://www.mysite.com/go/reviews or http://www.mysite.com/forums/go/reviews |
Nice job ;D
