Add "visitor messaging" count to a custom page?
 

I have a custom script that acts similar to a "memberlist", where it checks profile criteria (all members that have x field in their profile field filled in) and displays a list of members. I'd like to add the Visitor Message count from each member's profile next to their name. Any idea where I'd find the code for that to try and plug it in to my script? I just need the count.

I tried adding a line to the script that requires the /includes/class_profileblock.php file since it appears that's where the code shows up for the visitor message count. And then I dropped a variable ($prepared[vm_total]) into the template, but it didn't work.
