Block/Ban words?
 

Is there any mod that will stop posts with certain words and ban the user?

I have a problem with "bots". Basically a person signs up and posts an advertisement. So I want to make it so if someone tries to post something like "viagra" they will be automatically banned.

Exactly what I need. Sadly it doesn't have a ban option. But the moderation/rejection based on keyword density is sweet.

u can use the built in vb feature to ban the user, nuke their posts and bans the ip, after the hack finds the posts.

What? Can you explain that a bit more?

vb 3.8.x has its own built in ban/ban ip/nuke posts feature.

Is there an easy way to ban a user and their ip? I only know of the ip blacklist in the vbulletin options. But it makes it a pain to ip ban someone using that.

1. tic post/thread (check in box)
2. bottom of page, drop menu, select "delete post(s) as spam"
3. the next page lists the options that you want to perform.

Hmm, that mod seems to not be working. Just had some spam posts with the keywords I have specified and they didn't get blocked.

Delete posts as spam is nice, sucks that it doesn't automatically ban the ip.
