Archiving a forum
 

Is there a way to move a forum that is no longer active to the archive, so that it no longer appears with the active forums? I'd like it to be accessible if a search is made, but I'd rather it wasn't on the main page, with everything else.

You can go into the forum manager and either set the display order to "0" or you can set "Forum is Active" to "no." With both of these ways the posts will show up on searches. But, the forum won't show in the list on the advanced search page. Maybe somebody else knows a better way though :D

In my forum, I have an archives area that way people can view it, but can't post. It is also available through search. The same thing is done here with the graveyard.
