Adding an RSS feed...
 
Hello,

What I'd like to do is add an RSS feed area but I want it to show up in it's own "box" on the right hand side of the website. I don't want it to show up as a post or an announcement. Would this be creating a portal? Do I have to edit a template for this?

As you can tell I'm really new to customizing a website and I'd like to do some research, I just have to know what I'm looking for.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Yes it can be done through portal or cmps system like vbAdvanced.
I believe it can be doing through static sidebars and some custome tweaked php scripts but you probably should search through mods here or perhaps ask for some custom work regarding that.
