We have spend some time thinking, searching for ideas and then started the task of changing our site and this is the result: http://www.talk-pets.com

What do you think? Any comments appriciated and also suggestions if anything else should be changed.

The work has been done with help from Sevenskins who (once again) has worked fast and patiently :)

Only criticism is the please register banner

As you scroll down page, it follows you so you feel you want to get away from it

If it was at the bottom, you are scrolling effectively towards it.

I would lose the arcade scores on vb advanced welcome page.

Aside from that, fonts on vbadvanced are pretty weak, I would look into this.
I love the dog directory bit. Looks like a nice forum mate

About the Arcade scores... Theres no scores on the welcome page but it says that we have the Arcade installed and theres links to a few of the games. Would you remove that?
We find that a lot of our members (and newcommers) find the games fun and and a great way to kill a couple of hours beating eachother in the tournements. But perhaps you are right. What wuld you put instead then?

The font that is weak? Do you mean it should be in bold? I am not sure I get what you mean :)

THat scrolling thing really is annoying,
it looks like a nice site otherwise but couldn't finish looking with that box following me around like big brother

The scrolling "Register" banner is quite easy to make go away. Have you tried clicking the cross that closes it?

I know what your point is but sorry, wont do that :)

Besides, if you log in or register its gone for good and its actually working - more people do log in or sign up. So I dont really see the problem except a few might find it annoying. But are they potential members anyway? ;)
