Custom board specific status icons? ((Question))

How can I make the status icon for each board different...

It should be a default option i'm sure, but if its not anyone know how to go about attacking this?

my old board was running yabb, and it was really easy to change them but not sure how to do that on the vb board

here are some pics to show you what I mean

Ok I have to go now : so will explain in the event it is what you want

We use 2 types of image for each forum: forum_new and forum_old

So heres how it goes:

In forum manager, click on the forum you want to customize.

Go down to style options.

Prefix for forum status images, type in bbq_ ( as an example )

Then create two images, one for forum old, and one for forum new gif's

example:

our prefix for The Barbie forum is bbq_

So we created 2 images:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

1 is called bbq_forum_new.gif
1 is called bbq_forum_old.gif

Upload these two images to forum/your style/statusicon/ folder

The new gif is 50 x 30 pixels
The old gif is 30 x 30 pixels.

Just repeat this process for all of your forums. Remember to give a specific prefix for the images for each forum, and to correspond that prefix in the image names.

Good Luck Ste

THANKS ALOT!

that was a great help... So i did everything above, and it didn't work...

I tried multiple times, chmod'd the image files, everything....

Then i just put it on the default style to see if it would work on there, it did.

So i uploaded the same pics to the style that I'm using's folder... which is this skin: http://www.vbskinstudio.com/premium-...etin-skin.html

so it works on the default style, but not on the one I need it to... Any ideas on a fix? I've tried everything I can think of

On your custom style, right click the image for forum_new on forum home.

Check the path.

Then upload the images to that paths folder.

I've tried this and it works great when i view the forum category alone(domain.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=28), but when i view the whole forum(domain.com/forum/index.php) it still uses the original "forum_new" and so on..

Any ideas?
