Restrict Access by IP Address
Hi,
Is it possible to restrict access to a forum/sub forum on the basis that only certain IP addresses are allowed to enter it. I would like to set up a forum that can only be accessed from a companies network IP address, so if an employee leaves allow him to retain the registration but cannot see the company specific infromation. All help appreciated. Stephen |
You may be able to write a plugin that checks the forum id and then checks the IP. If the IP isn't xxxx, then the users would get a no permission. You may have to use the global_start hook location because you would want to do this for both the forumdisplay page and the showthread pages. Oh, and showpost pages.
