How to update a style
what are the steps to updating a stye from an older version of vbulletin to the latest version?
|
Go through each template that is colored (that means it is different from the default) and compare it to the default Jelsoft template and add/remove any changes.

Well, i have a style that is on an older version than my forum is, but i don't see any red templates, other than those that i edited.
And do i look at the default vbulletin templates manually, or is there a tool to do this? |
Red templates are templates that have been edited and are no longer default Jelsoft templates. You need to compare them to the default and see what is new in the default that you need to add to your own template. This could be difficult if you didn't familiarize yourself with your style to see how it differed from the default style (what was removed... what was simply moved.... what was just modified.... etc.).
If you go to Edit a modified template, you may hit the View History link and then hit Compare to see the differences outlined. |
