How do I convert from Fireboard to vBulletin

Hi

After have tried finding the solution for several hours, I must say that I give up. The closest thing I've gotten to success, was that I managed somehow to import some of the topics from Fireboard to vBulletin forum. The problem was that it says for instance "General Discussion: 7 topics" but inside it, there were only 3 topics.

I have looked for the answers on google, and in the manual too. I also looked at this topic http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1522933 but it made no sense to me. What is that script and what to do with it?

I had several problems, like tables conflict, so I had to rename some tables for eg. "jos_fb_users" to "fb_users", etc. There were 14 of them, I think. Now I can't even login to Joomla anymore. It says that my username and pass do not match, and I think it's because of the my attempt to import&convert the database to vBulletin.

Now my whole website is down and when I try to import my backed-up database back to PHPmyAdmin, it says:

Error

SQL query:

--
-- Database: `information_schema`
--
CREATE DATABASE `information_schema` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;

MySQL said: Documentation
#1044 - Access denied for user 'toonhazecom'@'localhost' to database 'information_schema'

I kindly ask for a detailed description of converting from Joomla's Fireboard to vBulletin.

Alex

UPDATE: I have just contacted my webhotel provider, and they should take care of the database problem. Meaning, I want to start this process from the scratch. Though I am still waiting for all the relevant information.

i converted last week from MyBB to vB and i was told and it worked to use Impex... there's an forum dedicated to it on vbulletin.com..

The access denied error could be from his config.php file. Maybe he did not have his database information setted up right in there

Sounds to me like you need someone to do the import for you. Using the Impex system is not for people who are unfamiliar with vbulletin. There are plenty of people who do this for a fee. You should make a post here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=30 in the Request area for a professional to help you. The last thing you want to have happen is your database to be corrupted from a bad import.
