Whats going on info in header
 
I have a sidebar on my forum that is setup via the header. I want to display some of the "whats going on" info there like logged in user names etc.. How can I go about doing this?

try this one. depends on your version but the author have lower version also.

although that adds up to 6 query's extra per page :D

That only lists the stats and not who is online, birthdays, etc..
