Server Questions / Issues
 
I have a few files on my FTP called:

core.# (The # is replaced with a 5 digit number, here are a few examples)

core.23412
core.23380

What are these files they where not there at the time of installation (I don't recall), can I delete all these core." " files?

Thanks, also besides deleting all the upgrade files are there any files I should delete to secure my site?

That is probably a core dump. See Wikipedia for some more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Core_dump.
