Importing images from Gallery2

I've used IMPEX to import a Drupal forum, but IMPEX does not bring in the Gallery2 member images.

In both Drupal and vB the images are in the filing system... so each member has a folder that contains their images.

I can move the images from the Drupal folder to the vB folder for each member, but the images wont show up in the site Albums... is there a way to regenerate the vB Albums to show the additional content of the member folders?

Or is there some other way to get the gallery transferred?
