Best way to handle contest
 

We're planning a posting, referring and activity contest that we intend to have going for three months.

What I am looking for is a solution that will calculate points for at least: thread creation, post replies and referrals. More would be great, but these are the main parts that are necessary.
I only want it to count beginning and ending on a certain date and I obviously want to be able to specify how many points each action earns.

Then I'd like to be able to see a chart/list of users and how many points they currently have. This can either be in the front-end, back-end or both.

Anybody have any recommendations?

im interested to see what you come up with. I have also looked for a similar solution, but I have not found the "right one". Most of the options out there are filled with a ton of extra features that frankly clutter things.

Im still looking for a solution and I will post back here If I find anything. [= I'd appreciate it greatly if you did the same.


Also, I have found this hack which seems to be pretty useful. It isnt the all in one solution that we are both looking for, but it adds a referal link to help members get referals.

That seems like an interesting lead. I took a look at it and it seems nice but it looks like the developer stopped developing it before he released it. Is there another link to it by any chance?

Brandon, I thought it wasn't available for public download. Weren't we all discussing this at vBSetup?

Yeah, I've seen that thread multiple times. If you can get a release, that'd be fantastic. I was ready to start my contest today or tomorrow - but I guess I'll have to wait for the release of this - if if even gets released.
