vb.org Archive - Per-user Session IP Octet Length Check

I like to idea of restricting a login session to the user's IP address, however this causes problems for users browsing through Tor. Their IP is constantly changing and therefore they keep getting logged out! Is there some addon/hack out there which allows each individuall user to enable or disable restricting the session to their IP address? That would allow the Tor users to stay logged in and still allow others to have more secure cookies. If this is not possible, can this feature be disabled completely? The vB control panel only lets me choose between "255.255.0.0", "255.255.255.0" and "255.255.255.255" - I don't see an option for "0.0.0.0".
