LaserPointerForums - Recently upgraded from YaBB

Hi All,

I recently upgraded my site http://laserpointerforums.com to vBulletin. YaBB was great but I needed to get away from the flatfile storage system.

LPF is the largest laser discussion on the net.

I am enjoying vBulletin so far and this forum is great.

Any feedback welcomed

Peace

dont like at all

Reason being : to many google adverts splattered all over the place.
You have a full screen at the top and then a full screen at the bottom and then u even have them in the middle.

Do you really need that many adverts ???

Its obviously not affected your members :

Currently Active Users: 554 (181 members and 373 guests)

But i myself would not even bother even looking at your board because of the amount of adverts on it.

oh my lol bad adsense integration you could make better money other ways than throwing adsense all over your page. DECENT member base, bad design & ad integration.

maybe the ads show only for guests ? but i agree with the others

The design is pretty bad.

And from an ad placement point of view what you are doing is horrible, more ads does not usually mean more money. A few well placed ads will equal more money then just randomly throwing a bunch of ads everywhere you can fit them in..

i find that CPC ads are most effective in those positions

what do you think the click thru rate should be on a site like this?

what would be better locations for a forum?

thx for your honest input
