SSL for login

Hi All,

I want to setup SSL for logins to my site and admin control panel

i couldn't find a mod or working solution for this.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

I'd like one too, but seeing that over a year has passed since you posted your message, maybe that sort of security isn't on anyone's radar.

Peace,
Gene

I've seen entire sites run over SSL no problem but never just login... I mean you could never have just a login over SSL as every page requires you to be logged in anyway. It would be like logging in to a different domain which doesn't work.

What I want to see is a feature that requires SSL login for the Admin panel. The rest doesn't matter. Why isn't there a mod of this sort? They're available for WordPress users.

Install an SSL and use https to access the control panel link.

I don't think there is any way to practically run SSL through the entire forum because things linked to will pop an error when that data is pulled ie: photobucket.com/pic.jpg

I'm thinking of forcing SSL for Admin logins. Sure, you can do it manually with an SSL installed.

That's the point that is being overlooked. I'd think a good mod developer could whip out a solution quickly enough.

Peace,
Gene
