Images in description of sub-forums
Is there a way to add images such as banners or small images in the description text area of forums?
|
yea but it looks ugly when you do because it shows up at the top of the forum when u click into that forum yakno?
|
Nono, it works for VB forums that sponsor or do RSS feeds whi ch they can put an icon image on the sub-forum details to better promote where the RSS feed is coming from. Others use it to promote a product....

Well, if you think it looks OK, then just add it to the description field for the forum. Just put in valid html there - ie. use the <img> tag, not the [img] bbcode

Thats the problem, after I did nothing happens...nothing appears. Just keep in mind am trying to add this under the forum category sub-titles in the control panel.

Why don't you post exactly what you did and then we can see what is wrong. If you don't post the details, we can't possible know where the error is.

Oh bugger, I feel dumb now....... somehow it won't show images when you have the forum closed to public, as am not ready to publicise it been working with it on maintenance mode, so when I was about to reply again here I opened it and then the pic showed..... ah geez, sorry about that. Thanks for helping out, greatly appreciate..
