Donating members presence
 

hi all,

i have a forum where members can donate, is it possible to show that members who did donate get a little sign or other thing at their username in the forum so that maybe other members think "hey i could also donate a little" .

anyone knows what could be used for this?

if you use the CYB paypal donate system there is an option to move donated members to a different usergroup, so you could create a donators usergroup and use a custom usertitle and add the image in there possibly

i actually use that mod but also not :erm:
i made custom buttons on the page that shows the donationbutton. the custom buttons open up a pop up to donate safe but not via paypal.

so users that donate will not be stored in the db because they didn't actually use the mod.

you could still make the group and manually move the members i suppose :D

yeah that's right, but members do also get some kind of rank according to the amount of posts they made, will that action disturb that?

i think it will their rank will disappear and be replaced with the "Donated to yoursite" image.

well, i think they can overcome that

i think you may be able to do this with rank images, do a search on "rank" in "all forums" "titles only" someone may have done something similar before :D
