Upgrade VB from 3.5x to current
Hey Everyone im sorry if this has been asked but being that 3.5.x is quit old I wanted to start a new thread based on the latest version of VB so here I go with my question...
I am currently running a pretty populated forum approx. 9K members running vb 3.5.x and wanted to upgrade to the latest and greatest VB 3.8.x . I have lots of mods currently applied and wanted to get some opinions from some people that have already been though such a huge upgrade. What is the best practice when upgrading from such an old version, what is the easiest method to perform this upgrade and what was the success rate. thanks --------------- Added [DATE]1241555608[/DATE] at [TIME]1241555608[/TIME] --------------- Any one ??? |
First step would be going through all of your mods and making sure there is an updated version for them for 3.8 and removing or finding replacements for those that aren't.
If you do a search under threads by me you will see I asked the same question, basically it seems you turn off board, disable all mods, BACKUP and then upgrade. |
