View Active topics

How I put a link like "View Active Topics" like phpBB?

Lynne 05-02-2009 04:00 PM

What defines an "active topic"? There is the New Posts button. You can also see all the posts in the last day.

but if I read the topic then it goes away....
I want it to be always there....
Something like that is in quick links -> todays posts
but that shows only todays post, I want one weeks post....

Then change your thread marking. vboptions > general settings > thread read marking type You probably have it set to cookie. Choose one of the others. You may have to hit Mark Forums Read after the first time you go back to your site to get it working correctly.

it was set to database(automatic forum marking)---
Now I changed it to database(no automatic forum marking)
still find no difference....
I think I need something like todays post type, something like 1 weeks post

Then try the cookie/inactivity based marking. The problem with that is they will all be marked as read after x amount of time.

If you want something like 1 weeks post, then you will have to basically copy the 1 day post and make your own "do" (do=getweekly).

Lynne,
I think what their asking is how to do it like this: (which I was wondering too)
(Note: Once you set it the way you want it, it remembers that value next time)

Search "active" in "all mods" "titles only" and you'll find a mod to do that.
