Is there a way to shift your database remotely ?
 

I just wanna know is there a way to shift my forums database to another server remotely? I need to move forums to a new server, I wanna know is there anyway I can do it? coz its kinda hectic job to download your database and upload it manually.

IF there is a way to do it remotely please let me know it will be of great help for me.

You would have the two servers connect to each other (like when you use rsync to copy files between servers). I can't tell you the exact steps, however since I hate moving servers and always hire someone to do it for me. :)

lol.. I hate to move servers myself but its just that I want to move to a better one.. almost 50% of the work is completed already.. hopefully site will be back in action tomorrow..
