Custom WordPress Design - Please Comment!
 

Hello,

Today I have a screen shot of a wordpress design I have been working on. I have probably spent about 3 hours on it playing around. The point of this is to get feed back for the template design only. Since I am working on it now if you have any comments or suggestions I would be happy to look them over. :)

• Logo is temporary
• Body content has lots more work to be done
• maybe 25% complete
• based on a 1024x768 resolution
• the preview has been resized to fit in the fixed version of the vbulletin.org postbit.

This sites purpose is to host an all in one business forum, portfolio, and testimonial database. All Network sites will reference/link to completegfx.NET for that specific content.

Reminds me of YOOtheme's Ambient for Joomla...

just wondering why you would post a design review when your 25% done. personally i do not like it i think its a little plain.

I just googled that and the only comparison is the dark backgrounds and the "rainbow" colors used. The inspiriation for this template was not based of a "yootheme" and all content is 100% pure vector art made by myself.

Well I would rather have someone tell me it's looking bad at 25% then tell me its bad when its all the way finished.

You are correct at the moment the design is boring. Guess since I've had some sleep it's time top get back to the drawling boards. :)

This is not the area to show off designs but to gain a critique for your forum from the community. If it's a design related critique you are wanting then the design & graphics discussion forum is the place to submit such a post.

if your design is flexible and you test ALL the features inside Wordpress before releasing it, you will have a hit in the community. structural themes are rare in the WP market, most of them are just wrappers with errors in the css...

oh, btw, for SEO purpose, not 4 times a different link called "About" please... :)
