How to protect From Spammers and Bots[Urgent Help Need]
 
How i can protect myself from spammers and bots they come in my vbulletin i have enable human verification and user verification by e-mail but cant stop them is any script or any list of ip-s or something that can help me please its urgent i need help....

if they pass thru the email verification, you will never have a better spam filter... because they are not bot, they are human posting on your forum...

and BlueNinja's post is good, but 2 years old...

That's why I said it might be outdated... but i figured if it was too out-dated then someone would have written a new one by now...

I was getting dozens of spambots per day and lots of them were signing up, so I found this website - http://www.stopforumspam.com/ - and copied their entire list of spammer IP addresses. I pasted the list into one of the filters in CPAdmin and not one spammer has made it past the registration process for over two months.

Worked for me. They'll eventually get through because they'll eventually be using new IP addresses, or more spammers from new IP addresses will come along. But in the meantime at least none of the known spammers can bother us.
