This Can't Be!!! Xbox And Ps3 Goes Down In Flames!
Well I'm not sure how many gamers there are on this site. But this link will explain what the title of this thread means. Looks pretty damn cool. My guess is Microsoft will buy them out. Check this out, http://www.pimpmygamercard.com/conte...-over-consoles

Seen it. The idea has been around for a while and burned in flames before. Let's wait till the boxes are in reviewable public testing.

They reckon they can do it, I hope they can. I don't like how people are dismissing the idea as impossible without evidence. I mean the founder helped develop Quicktime so he must know a thing or two.

it's the 3rd time they try to release their project... none of the big companies will let any game producer go for it, so even if the platform is great, if they can not buy any game contract, they worth nothing.
we can do mostly the same with our Cable distributor engine... play online games for about 15 years already, but majorly it was basic games like Mahjong and Tetris... we could play CoD5 on their engine, but the companies will never switch just for promises... they need money. |
To be honest, I doubt it based on a few things, including brand recognition of all three leading consoles at the moment, and the fact each of those consoles has exclusive games made by either first or second parties who aren't allowed to release them on rival consoles. Brand recognition means at least something, and to complete with the 'killer apps' on the other consoles is nearly insane, simply because they not only won't be able to get many of those million seller games that often hyped, they'd have to convince an audience of an unproven game series..

This was a good read. The way they are going about this is ingenious. I applaud them at what they are doing.
@NEXY: Buddy, nex, lol did you see this page? http://www.onlive.com/service/hot_new_games.html - Current Game list http://www.onlive.com/partners.html - Partner game publishers (EA, Codematsers, ETC) Says the product is coming out this winter. I hope it becomes a reality. I related very well to the video documentary, when the CEO was talking about needing to upgrade graphics cards and processors every year (pc gaming). Personally I am TIRED of buy the "OMG ITS THE NEWEST and BESTES EVER!" (if you get what I'm getting at... lol is that redundant?). Anyways I hope they can pull it off, cuz im TIRED of the xbox(360)/ps1(2)[3] wars. Talk about a LAME subject to fight over who is best. BAH. Well I seem to be ranting now so I'll just put stop to it Now. :) |
like Oil & 'eco Fuels'* ?
p.s.* JuarJuar! :D |
Buddy, nex ?!
WAZZAAAAAA i know they have great deals with some game producers, what i think of is more the behind the scene, will cost them a lot to be able to handle such a network without having to deal with the game owners themselves, like microsoft... the producers are one level of the thing... and from what i see in their timeline, that may be the reason why it's the third/fourth time the announce their startup, they may have legal issues that are without ends right now, negociating contracts etc... once they are done, yeap, this is the future of the internet gaming... |
Oh! so 5 to 7 years from now?
p.s. 'Broadband' sucks in some parts of the world, even in most parts of L.A. ;) |
those are a real waste of time anyways
who has time to play xbox or ps3..lol I'll tell ya who, those who haven't figured out how to make their own money ;) |
