Sort Order - How do you get that to show?

Like at the top of this forum before you enter a thread. It shows the post order, ascending or descending and the beginning or a month or week or whatever back.

How do I add that to my forum? I've looked everywhere for this and I can't find it. Is it in the software already and I'm just over looking it?

they just moved it on this forum. Normally that is shown on the bottom left of the forumdisplay page.

I want to enable it on my forum though and I don't know how. Also, is it only for forums or can't you do it inside topics too to put the last reply at the top? Seems like I've seen that before...I need this on my forum if possible. Thanks!

I don't think it's an option you turn on and off. I think it should just show (unless you removed the code from your template). Try this:
Create a new style with no parent:
  • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
  • Parent Style: No Parent Style
  • Title: Default vBulletin
  • Allow User Selection: Yes
  • Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - can you see it now?

To change the order inside a thread, you set that in your User CP. There may be a modification to do it in a thread, I don't know, try doing a search in "all mods" "titles only"

OK. I figured out what's happening. All I've got is the default skin, I guess that's the correct word for it. It's at the bottom when I go into a forum or sub-forum. But I want to be able to control post this way. Like when I go into a thread, I want to be able to change SOME of my threads to show the newest post first. I want the rest to show from oldest to newest like the default format is.

Is there a way to do this?

I have never seen a modification to allow you to set the way different threads are presented. You might be able to write a plugin to do that, I'm not really sure.
