Please help me

Hi all,

I'm novice in the field of forums and needing some help. I have two questions, the first is: How can I add commercial advertisements under the banner in my forum. like this example:

view picture

second: I read the thread Yet Another Awards System

I asked the question:

Quote:

"CHANGES/MODIFICATION:
- Tables to add: 3 (award, award_user, award_cat)
- Files to add: 4 (/awards.php, /award_request.php, /admincp/award.php, /admincp/award_cat.php)"

Where and how shall I do that? I'm still novice in this field, please help me

I got the response
Quote:

Upload the files then add the plugin. You'll also need to create a menu item for awards.php.
but I still could not understand what is meant :o

please explain it to me from the zero.. shall I start with the admincp or with my website's cpanel

thanks in advance,
waiting

There are many banner ad mods available. I've found one of the easiest to be Rotating Banner System .

That Awards System mod requires you to upload files to your server via FTP. If you're the admin over there you should already be familiar with how to do that, since it's necessary for all upgrades. If you're new to admin, lesson 1 will be to search the web for info on what FTP is and how to use it.

You may also just want to start with easier mods that don't require any uploading.

Thanks a lot for your kind reply,
I'm familiar with FTP and I can use the product manager to upload the files.. what is left is the tables, how can I add a table?

You don't add tables. The mod does that automatically.
