Adding Drop Down Menu to Footer

Anyone have a code that will allow me to add a drop down menu to the footer? I'd like to use one to display my affiliates. But I can't get anything to work, so I figured someone could help me out. :) I did check out the "Adding Drop Down Menus To The NavBar" article, but I'm not sure how to translate it to work for the footer.
